Spiritual Formation
Children and Youth
Each of us at St. Paul Lutheran Church can contribute in keeping our part of the baptismal promise to teach children and youth the ways God can and does speak to them in their faith journey. Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, two-year confirmation program for early teens, SPY (Saint Paul Youth) and participation in camping programs, synod and church-wide youth events are some of the opportunities available. Children and youth are encouraged and integrated into ever expanding roles in Sunday worship.
Adult Forum
The Adult Forum meets during Sunday School Hour (10:30am) to discuss topics for our spiritual enlightenment and growth. But this is not your typical adult Sunday School class.
Each week we engage in spirited, thought provoking discussions on a wide range of topics. Six to eight week programs are centered around a theme. Currently, we are watching and discussing “The Chosen” series. While addressing the theme, each week stands alone so you can join us at any time and be an active participant of the group. A variety of topics is covered each year with a rotating group of discussion leaders.
Adult Bible Study
Our Bible Study is offered one morning each week for those who enjoy in-depth discussions on chosen scripture. Currently they meet on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 a.m.
Library
The Kitty Eshelman Memorial Library at St. Paul Lutheran Church is available to serve the needs of all members, children as well as adults. The library seeks to provide materials which strengthen the educational work of the church and increase our knowledge of out faith and the faith of others. Reading books from the church library can deeply enrich our worship life, provide information on social and economic issues and foster an appreciation of good books.
In addition there are volumes of popular fiction and non-fiction for both children and adults as well as games and videos for family use.
The library is located on the second floor of the church and is set up as a “browsing” rather than “research” system.
